I'm doing well in regards to managing my calorie intake and doing daily exercise. I make sure I have plenty of good snacks throughout the day so I am not tempted to eat junk food. Pretty soon I am going to have to tackle probably my biggest hurtle, going to bed sooner. Not getting sleep is a habit that spans a many years. I have been using my CPAP machine regularly again and that in itself has improved sleep quality. I hate that thing on my face. Just need to get my mind prepared to do what I have to do. Its all mental. Progress is as expected.

Good job! I'm sure you know this, but as you lose weight, you may need to have your CPAP mask adjusted/replaced to make sure it still fits properly. If you've had yours a while, you may find some of the newer ones are lighter and less confining feeling than the older ones. Keep up the good work!

Not enough quality sleep sends your body into the same starvation mode that not enough food intake will. That means that no matter what you do, your body will hold on to that stored fat for future use. I had put on 80 lbs in the last two years, despite being hyperthyroid, exercising and eating better. My endocronologist finally asked how I sleep. Sleep study and cpap later I started loosing weight immediately without changing anything. Now I have the energy to focus on getting healthier and I've lost 23 lbs in 4 weeks.
