Found doing low carb, no grains but get some carbs through fruit & veg but no potatoes or rice works.Do not count calories.Have a gallette in the morning with just a quick wipe of fat round pan then get into rest of day.Bulk buy of meats at butchers and portion into freezer and have one or two eggs in the mornings.Steady slow loss but after gallbladder removed it just kept rising and could make no headway.Makes you feel rather glum but fingers crossed I can reduce my girth and get into a dress this summer.For anyone who might see this, your path for getting healthy is out there but its a long jouney to find it, take care everyone. X
68.9 kg Lost so far: 1.4 kg.    Still to go: 8.6 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Welcome. I have recently changed my eating regime to something similar to yourself. I eat meat, eggs, fish, plenty green veg and a little carrot. No potatoes, no sugar, just a tiny bit of bread occasionally. Seems to be working well. If you want a most enlightening read, try: Gary Taubes, "Why We Get Fat: And What to Do about It".
