Yay! Lost one pound. A hard fought pound. I'll take it! It means I am solidly under 160. No creep up during the day. I have started substituting, using EatThisNotThat example. I can't stop and eat lettuce. It tastes like crap to me, and leaves me feeling SO hungry that it triggers me to break my diet. Well This time, I am not eating what I know undermines my progress. But... still need to cut when I can. So, I trade bread for beans. Black beans to go with my breakfast egg rather than toast. And flavoring my albacore tuna with a teaspoon of olive oil rather than mayonnaise. And brushing my teeth shortly after eating so that the taste of food doesn't trigger me to progress to desert. Just 6 pounds to be one dress size smaller. I tried on my shorts, I can zip/button but I am a sausage. I am also exercising so maybe that will help turn fat into fit. It really isn't the weight that bothers me so much, it's the constant fatigue and foggy thinking. Which I believe was the consequence of all that sugar. And when I say I've been able to abstain from candy/cookies/cake/ice cream, I should have also said I don't drink sodas either. But that wasn't hard to give up. I'm not a soda person. I'm good with water. My downfall is I am a TEA fan, but not just tea. I put demara sugar and half&half in it. And then I suffer b/c it's high calories and the caffeine keeps me from sleeping. I am keeping up my walking. I only did half the route yesterday b/c storms were rolling in and the lightening was frightening to me. Today it was cool in the morning and I did two rounds plus the extra hill twice for my quads. I like how it makes my legs feel smooth rather than cellulitish. Off to the grocery for apples. I know, sugar. But I need to keep my innards moving. And this change of diet has stopped me up. Just gonna take one day off tomorrow, eat apples all meals to shift that stopped up fat. And back to protein/veg each meal.
