Do other people feel their diets are getting them down? I've now got another 18 days of keeping to this mongrel 600 cal per day Keto diet I have set for myself. on one hand that feels good is seeing the numbers go down and I'm past what a surgeon has requested for pre surg weightloss. So that accomplishment I am pleased about. What gets me down is the restrictiveness to what is Keto. eg I can't add some corn to my salad. I love my cheese and even though some cheeses are considered Keto. I think Masdaam is. The miniscule quantity that I would be able to have just to manage some cheese and crackers isn't worth it. I went through the supermarket yesterday to get some Keto basics and to see a bunch of my favourite foods, good and bad, on special was heartbreaking. Even when I finish the 600 cal and double up to 1200 cal it is still hard to want to sit down and eat some things. Another thing I wish is that when they label food as how many calories/kj they would make the writing bigger. You need a high powered magnifier to read some of them. Still the numbers fall on the scale though. With the exception I don't seem to notice my belly shrinking much. I hope everyone is having a good day with their diets.

The great news is that you need to eat more! You don't even have to stick with Keto! Just up your protein. Please change to 1200c min, your body will thank you!

yeah I think 1500 is low for men and 1200 is low for women from what I've read.

Thanks everyone so far who has supported, taken the time to read and comment. I agree I could eat more. I got the info for this diet for lose 10kg in 10 weeks. My surgery goal. The idea at first wasn't for long term but for a target. Now that I've dropped the required kg, I've decided it would be nice to get back to 100. I was sitting on two appointments with surgeons as I had moved since first being on a list at Bunbury. I seen a surgeon in Perth and he suggested he wanted me to lose 20kg and the wait list was longer. So this is why I have committed myself to crazy low calory numbers to secure a surg spot. I look forward to 16 days time where I can double my calory intake. When I get the thumbs up about surg, I'll work on keeping at a recommended daily intake of 2400 cal. That is after a big pig out for all the things I have gone without

When I do get the thumbs up, I'm first going to have a pig- out on all the foods I haven't been able to enjoy and then settle into maintaining a recommended 2400 cal per day to keep my weight in check
