I was "glutened" by accident a couple days ago, this will go back down as my insides heal.
side note, that evening I referred to uncooked spaghetti noodles as "poison sticks" to my Cub Scout den. they kept repeating it all evening, I'm sure the parents will appreciate that at a future family meal 🤣

Well, for some people it's pretty darn close: you eat it, it makes you sick. Accidental glutening sends me to a very dark place, and it takes me about a week to crawl out.
Some people have a mental health adverse response. Poison sticks straight to the brain.

I definitely have the physical and mental side effects it sends my depression into a tailspin if I get glutened.
