This made me smile this morning! Today is day 2 of intermittent fasting. I'm still drinking coffee in the morning, black with a little stevia. Drinking it black with no breakfast usually gives me heartburn so I'll have to see if this will be ok to continue, or if I'll have to save it until I break my fast around noon. It hasn't been a struggle so far! My stomach has that nice, light feeling. I had McDonald's for lunch (a regular meal without the bun due to a gluten intolerance). I ate the fries guilt-free! Dinner was a turkey wrap with Chex mix on the side. It ended up being just over 1,400 calories. My goal is to keep calories around 1,811. I had started losing on that number and it's a good number to keep me from feeling too hungry or deprived. I get rebellious against a diet plan when I start feeling resentful about deprivation and end up quitting. I don't want to feel like I'm being punished. 😆

1800 is a decent number if you can lose. I tried it when I was 193lbs but increased to 2200 after a few weeks. I'd rather burn more than feel like I'm starving. I continued to increase intake and output and now lose weight on 2700 calories at a body weight of 168lbs.

@TheUnhealthyDaddy that's exactly my thoughts, too. I know this sounds like an excuse but if I get down to 1400 or 1500 calories, my body starts feeling intensely desperate and I can't hardly stand it. I end up binge eating, which makes me feel better, but it makes the weight come back. 1800 seems to be a good, balanced number and I'm working to increase physical activity instead of lowering calories.
