Today I started on a new nedication for hypothyroidism. I've been languishing without a diagnosis for almost a year. Every time i spoke with my GP, she told me I was depressed. A fair assumption to make, as I've had depression on and off for over 25 years. But I haven't been *feeling* depressed, it's just that I couldn't wake up in the mornings, meaning I've missed A LOT of work this year. I think becuase i kept saying to me dr "i just want to sleep all day, I'm so tired all the time", she took that as a symptom of depression. Anyway, i finally got a second opion, and it's my throid-which explains all of my symptoms, not just the chronic fatigue. So I'm hoping with this new medication that my metabolism will start to work again too 🤞It pays to really tune in to our bodies and get more than one opinion if something doesn't seem right! 💚
