Sometimes we are ashamed of our failures. I was ashamed of mine.
I wanted to give up and though I fooled myself into not. I don't want to quit but this life is hard and its hard alone with no help, no motivation, and no inspiration. I going to keep going anyway and hopefully I'll find some along the way.
What I really need is a committed workout buddy. That maybe too much to ask for!

I don't understand why I do what I do. I wish I would stop doing it.

Man bro. I feel ya. I've felt like this a lot. But the beauty of it is the push. You gotta keep on pushing. Motivate yourself. Fuel your own fire when you can't find a spark but alway know there is someone out there who is pulling for ya. I've been there and I'm in your corner. If I could work out with you I would. Hell where ya at? Who know can ya say road trip? Lol! Either way man find the fire that got you here to begin with and run with it. For one thing you sure as shit are not a failure cause you didn't quit and you made that first step. Keep on steppin, I'll be with ya.

Sometimes just recognizing what you're doing is enough. Yeah, it can be helpful to get to the root of things, & if you have the mental energy to do that then go for it. For now, identify where the gaps are & come up with a plan to address them. Lack of motivation to exercise in the evening? Then schedule it in the morning so you don't have time to procrastinate. Starting out your day with a great workout sets a tone like no other. Make a list of your reasons for wanting to lose this weight. Print it out & put it somewhere you'll see it often. It's not always easy but it's always worth it. YOU are worth it! As for the easy part, I don't know you well enough to say. ;P

wow thanks guys! that makes me feel better. Kingcole35: I'm in Oklahoma City. If you know anyone here that would be great. kstubblefield: I do exercise in the evening but I would like to get up and go in the morning. I'm typing this reply at 11:30 so I'm a night owl. Hard to get to sleep before 12:00 but I would like to. Thank you both for your advice.

Anytime! I'm a night owl too...I've found that a good part of my success so far has been finding ways to outsmart myself. I'm very fastidious about numbers & schedules & planning, so I worked with a trainer to get an exercise plan based on my fitness goals (to not look like a deflated balloon after I lose the >100 lbs I want to lose, & to be able to run a 5k). The only way I can progress in my workouts is if I'm consistent in my efforts...& honestly it bothers me more to get behind schedule than it does to work out when I don't feel like it. Therefore it works great for me. So get to know yourself & where your weaknesses are, & get creative to find ways to work around them. If I can do it, anyone can. :) Nite!
