Well...here we go again! I worked so hard to lose 50 pounds four years ago but (again) slowly but surely it crept back on. Only 30 - not 50 - but 30 FREAKING POUNDS! I remember how hard it was to get every pound off. There are so many people who truly love me in my life and tell me I am doing great, it will come off, its because of [insert latest reason...steroids, stress, hormones...here]. But they aren't the one trying on pair after pair of jeans and top after top that do not fit and are so far from fitting that I just want to cry. My saving grace is that I gave away every single pair of jeans that were more than 3 sizes too large when I lost the weight. I refuse to buy that size again and hate that I have two pairs of the next size down (which is the size I swore I would never get to as well). I'm not going to be "good" today - I'm not even going to try. Today is the day for honesty. A typical weekend...food and drink -- lots of drink! Tomorrow is the day I look back on today's stats and realize it has to stop. NO excuses. Just like I quit smoking...one day at a time! And lest I forget...I only gained 3 pounds when I quit. I do have access to willpower - I just need to use it.

My truth...I am 45 years old and had a complete hysterectomy when I was 28..my body doesn't WANT to lose weight so I have to force it to. I have actively "tried" to lose for the past two months and have been up and down the same 5 pounds so often I am dizzy! So back on bio-identicals to keep my sanity! Continue working out to boost my metabolism; ease up on the alcohol because that nightly crutch is getting a bit too comfortable and stop the endless late night snacking. Yes Virginia....those calories DO COUNT! Even when no one sees you eating.

So here I go....excited scared and ready. 30 pounds...1 pounds at a time!
