Not entirely sure what happened here as I’ve been out for a brisk walk every morning this week. Maybe I haven’t been drinking enough water.

Water retention is common when a new form of exercise is started that the body is adjusting to.
Also pork for example gives me water retention for some reason. But it's just a number and temporary

Thanks iceynino, I’m trying to identify what foods might not entirely agree with me. The seemingly random fluctuations are annoying but as long as the trend over time is downwards, that’s the most important.

My weight has been like this the past 2 weeks. I feel bloated. it's as if I have loads of water retention.

Not sure how long you have been walking. Just remember when starting exercise you build muscle and that could also account for the small pick up.

you can also try and measure your cm around your waist and hips once a month.
*just be sure to measure on the same spot every month - like on your belly button or ar your narrowest waist when you stand infront if a mirror.
losing cm while your weight stays the same is a good indication of losing fat and gaining muscle

Thanks for the suggestions, I really need to get better at tracking weight *and* measurements. I started my walking earlier in the year, but am getting back to it after a month’s interruption courtesy of work demands. Am making peace (slowly) this is a marathon journey and not a sprint.
