fasted yesterday but impulsively shoved extra food in my mouth as the window approached. felt really iky yesterday and used food to boost my mood and didn't drink nearly enough water

Yes. Getting well hydrated is difficult at first. Try flavorings like cucumber slices, lemons, limes, or artificial flavorings like Mio, etc. it helps.
