I decided to allow myself some carbs today, but not sugar. I really want to eat in a sustainable way, and I don't want to cut whole food groups. it does seem as though weight is beginning to roll off, so perhaps I shouldn't change anything. However, I'd hate to lose weight only to gain it back everytime I decide to live a little.

I can agree with this. It’s the reason I decided to count calories. Counting calories can be a pain sometimes but at least I’m not doing something unsustainable for me. :)

Counting calories works for me, but I love treats and we are semi retired. So I limit my treats to when we are out, etc.

I have struggled with consistently counting calories in the past but I am starting to see how it can truly work to my advantage. Thanks for the encouragement!

If you want sugar but not real stuff, try using Sugar Twin sweetener. It gives the sugar taste but zero calories.
