#1 - lose 20 lbs
#2- 214 =no longer obese (34 lb loss)
#3 - 199 -under 200 (49 lb loss)
#4 - 180 - Goal weight (68 lb weight loss,, at this point I'll see if I want ti lower my goal weight)

Don't ever want to just offer my opinions but to me smaller goals build a lasting maintenance lifestyle. When I set one huge goal and get there I'm thinking now what? That's done. But with smaller goals we know we're always working towards the bigger goal and the bigger goal morphs and mutates so it becomes unobtainable. At least for me. So that builds a constant striving and working towards something better. That was maybe 4 cents not just my 2. Sorry.

I set my end goal right out the gate, but I have a reward system set up at specific checkpoints. Get to x weight, reward is a cut/color, get to x weight, reward is a bottle of perfume, etc. But this way the real goal is always visible. This process is fluid-- what works initially may be changed later on as we develop the confidence and dig in good habits. Congrats on the loss!

I think that is a great approach. I am looking forward to leaving the obese category and then setting a new goal. Keep up the good work!
