Now that my body is back to normal I can hopefully get back to business. I seem to be keeping my carbs between 20-30g a day. not really intentionally, but that seems to be where I keep coming up with the foods I'm eating. I was worried about how many carbs I get from veggies, but I'm learning that those are good carbs, I guess. Onward and downward!

Welldone! low-carb is a great tool to lose weight, what happens is your body is infusing insulin to deal and handle the extra energy coming from fats and carbs, guess what! when the body insulin can't multitasking and handle carbs and fat at the same time, so he select to deal with the fats (as it is a sign of being more dangerous than carbs) and store the carbs in your body cells to provide energy (remember you already have enough energy cells in your body you need to use it)......... so when you have a low carbs, the insulin will only deal with fat to burn it and then your body will take its energy from the stored cells in your body to keep functioning your daily tasks then you lose weight .. the most important is don't take more calories than required, let's say that your body needs 2000cals a day so if you take 1500cals that's mean it will take the rest from stored cells, don't exceed that amount don't take more cals than what your body needs.....add half an hour walking in a mall or park a day will magnificently help you (remember the amount of carbs you give to your body daily will be the first thing to be burns when you workout and not the stored ones ).... i wish you a bigger and steady progress ... keep it up
