So.....Here I go again!
Determined to shift the almost 2 stone weight gain since last christmas....the result of a new relationship and having far too much fun!
Also a knee injury which has now become arthritic has put paid to the spinning (for the time being at least) and limited the amount of walking I can do.
I have been advised for the first time ever that I need to lose some weight to help my knee so after a great weekend (again!) I have become a mindful eater/drinker.
I don't want to live like a monk, but do want to make good decisions regarding my food and alcohol intake.
The plan I intend to follow is:

1. Slow and steady weight loss
2. Everything in moderation (except vegetables)
3. 3 meals a day (or 5 smaller) - with no snacking in between
4. Up water consumption
5. Calorie counting and sticking to 1800 or below each day
6. Give myself a break if I have a slip up.

I hope to have shifted a stone by Christmas but won't worry too much if it is less than this, as long as the scales say I am losing weight or staying the same some weeks then this is all good with me....Happy Monday Peeps.

I have a knee injury that prevents certain exercises, but the exercise bike is okay and makes quite a difference, but running and spinning are a definite no. I use weights and the stepper is okay for cardio if I don't push the legs too hard. You can lose weight despite injuries, I am and have done before, (and last time I started I couldn't walk at all). Good luck!

Ta folks...I have always lived a very active lifestyle but forget that getting older comes with more risks...climbed a mountain in Borneo last August and the knee problems have escalated from there, also took on an allotment so spinning naturally went on the back burner and now I feel that it will be a struggle to start again...will find out next week from the orthopedic doctor I have to see... Third day into my new eating regime and it's OK. Feeling hungry often but that is because I would never let myself feel hungry before, if anything it is a bit boring but I hardly ever give in when I set myself a challenge and I know it is for my long term health so just going to knuckle down and have a drink of water.....Happy Wednesday Peeps.

Hope you reach your goal...I would recommend a ketogenic diet but with a consultation from a doctor😊
