I had bariatric surgery (gastric bypass) 3 years ago. I had reached a weight of 270+ lbs. I knew I would be in a wheelchair (or dead) if I didn't do something. I had lost some weight (40+)on Atkins and loved it. Unfortunately I went "off the wagon" and could not get back. Thus, the surgery. Over the 3 years since the surgery I gained 10 lbs and starting in October 2018 I went low carb again...this time I succeeded. My motivation was what I went through after the bariatric surgery! Believe me...it is not an easy answer. I believe my mistake on Atkins was not enough fat. I wish I knew then what I know now...don't we all. I am happy to feel great and have tons of energy. Thank you all for being there. Linda

I wish that I knew before the surgery the mistakes I made while on Atkins. The reason I failed is that I did not eat enough fat to satisfy me. Therefore when I went off one day...I could not get back. I really really tried because I felt awesome while doing Atkins...energy level off the charts! Thank you for your support!
