Well I am off to race number 2 tomorrow! This one is a 5k! I am getting very nervous and could use some encouragement ahahah! I keep telling myself that my goal is just to finish, and do so with my head up, but it seems when I am running in a race, it doesn't quite work that way :0) I start to get pretty nervous and start feeling like "who do I think I am tring to do this" I keep trying to tell myself that I go 3 if not more miles on my treadmill or outside everyother day, but when I get in a race it is just so different! I did meet both of my goals (time wise and without stoping to walk) with my 1st race (which was 2 miles) but I am nervous about adding on another mile. Anyway, if you have a free moment, please wish this newbe to the race world some luck..........I may need a lot of it ahahha! Best to you all!

Good luck buddy!!! You can totally do this...especially if you have been running it on the treadmill. Each race will begin to seem easier as you build up your experience. I am hoping to do my own this summer also. (I get coaching from my boyfriend who is in to triathalons...maybe someday I can join him! LOL). You will do fine. I am jealous of you already just being able to say that you have completed one!!!

You can do it girl... especially if you have been training on your treadmill! :o) So don't go doubting yourself, as I'm sure you will be absolutely fine. Just make sure you pace yourself... don't worry about what everyone else is doing! You just go out and enjoy, good luck and be proud that you are doing this. ;o) PS... inspired by many of you I tried going for my first "jog" in probably about 16 years on Thursday!!! Alas, only about 1.8 miles and I did walk a couple of times just to catch my breath and conquer a couple of inclines! Lol... but hopefully there's some hope for me yet. :o)
