I had bariatric surgery (gastric bypass) 3 years ago. I had reached a weight of 270+ lbs. I knew I would be in a wheelchair (or dead) if I didn't do something. I had lost some weight (40+)on Atkins and loved it. Unfortunately I went "off the wagon" and could not get back. Thus, the surgery. Over the 3 years since the surgery I gained 10 lbs and starting in October 2018 I went low carb again...this time I succeeded. My motivation was what I went through after the bariatric surgery! Believe me...it is not an easy answer.
I believe my mistake on Atkins was not enough fat. I wish I knew then what I know now...don't we all. I am happy to feel great and have tons of energy. Thank you all for being there.

It has been a long time since I have posted...or even weighed, so I am assuming that I am about the same in weight as I was last month at this time. I have been doing poorly in eating what I am supposed to because my son has been visiting. It is the sugar that gets me. I have asked him to hide stuff at our neighbors house that I crave. Maybe that will help.

Well, I am not losing weight...in fact I have gained a pound. I am having a lot of trouble getting the food in because I have no appetite. I have not even lost inches in the past 2 weeks. Looking at my averages today though I saw that I have too many carbs in a day. I will definitely keep a closer eye on my carbs. I will
have to
preplan my meals; I have not been doing that everyday which is why I am going over. I know the fact I am not losing is because I am not doing something right. Today is a new day and I will lose now!

I am having so much trouble with my calorie intake. Some days I don't get enough vegetable carbs. I don't know how to get more calories in. I have no appetite. Isn't it funny when you eliminate high carbs and sugar how hard it is to get calories?
