I kinda got my feelings hurt today. I walked into a gas station in a part of town I haven't been to in a long while. The cashier that works there has always been friendly with me, but we don't know each others names and have never hung out. I haven't lived in the west end of Louisville for almost a year. Anyway, as I was walking to the counter she blurts out loud as hell. "Giiirl, I almost didn't recognize you, you've put on a few pounds huh? You starting to look like me!" I resisted the urge to say that she has gotten uglier and her gap tooth has widened since the last time I saw her, so I just paid for my stuff and left. I sat in the car and sulked the whole way home. I don't know whether to be mad or grateful, cause that one interaction made me feel horrible, but on the other hand it made me wake up. I guess my weight gain is really noticeable now. I can see it but it doesn't sink in until someone tells you the truth. Now I'm going to have a good cry and go to the gym. Later

Feeling a little frustrated. Gained some weight. Still trying to figure out what works best for me and can't seem to find my niche yet. But as I always say, every day is a chance to start over so as of today I have started over AGAIN. I have been on a site called lovetoknow.com and they have diet plans and menus available to help choose the best diet plan for me. I'm going to attempt the 1000 cal diet and I even printed out the food journal to keep track of my meals and snacks. the best suggestion they gave me was to space out my meals and eat them in (4) 250 cal increments to keep me on track. I have a habit of only eating once or twice a day so this will help regulate me a little. Let's see how this works. Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed. LOL

I have not been tempted by the KFC devil lately. I have actually been cooking meals at home and resisting the urge to eat out. My husband and I even opted out of going out to eat on our Anniversary. I cooked baked chicken and vegetables instead. I have invested heavily in Progresso Light soups, and I am beginning to have adverse reactions to salty foods. Even lightly salted chips are now burning my mouth. Guess that's a sign. I have been a little lax in the gym but now I am ready to go full throttle. Got my workout music on my mp3 player and I'm ready to roll. Gonna make a new mix tonight.

I weighed myself today at the gym with the professional scale. I was so surprised! According to my scale at home I had actually gained a little since my last weigh in, but I guess I lost it all being sick. Lol Gotta love cold and flu season.
