Today I was diagnosed with PCOS. My doctor told me how important it was for me to lose weight because of this. My current weight is 212 lbs. The largest I've been is 228, which was this March/April. I've been losing weight since then, but my doctor advised me that I need to cut starches/carbs almost completely to avoid side-effects from the drug she prescribed me. So, to help me better keep track of carbs (not to mention better track of calories), I've decided to start keeping a food diary here. My goal is to almost completely avoid starches, and to in general avoid sugars and other carbs. I hope to find people with similar lifestyle changing goals here, too.
