Well, here I am 9 years and 133 pounds heavier than when I first started. It's frustrating, and I'm disappointed in myself for sure. That being said, I refuse to give up and simply victim/guilt myself back to where I once was without a fierce fight.
Not too long ago I was 465 lbs at my heaviest. Over the course of 5 years I clawed my way down to 178 lbs.
I suppose having lost a lot of weight once before should give me some sort of psychological advantage this time around. After all, I did it once, and so I should be able to do it again. Just the same, I sometimes let it get into my head that I'm no longer a young man, and that major transformations like that are no longer possible.
While I don't know what limitations age really will present as I start on the long road back to health, what I can say for sure is that giving up simply isn't an option for me. I would rather live as a 300+ lb man that fought back with hopeful determination than a 200 lb man who never learned to dig deep and discover what I'm truly capable of. It's time for me to prove to myself what is really possible when positive tenacity, a plan of action, and a supportive community come together.

I'm feeling plagued with health problems that I know are primarily weight related. It's time I finally get serious before I hit 400 pounds again.

My last weigh in was on October 14, 2010... So here I am nearly 9 months later and nearly 20 lbs heavier - I'm such a tard.

I'm beginning to think that I might be doing something wrong with my diet. I have been exercising hard everyday wothout fail, and I have reduced my calorie intake to under 1000, when my diet calls for 2000+. On Wednesday I only ate around 750 calories ... anyway, given my flat results lately, I think I need to change something up. I'm considering Body-for-Life.
