01 April 2014
I've been on a binge since Sunday, can't get enough sugar, fat and salt! This insanity has to stop. All was going well until I had a few glasses of wine on Saturday night, that's went all went crazy. Today is April 1, we are in a 3 day ice storm that is still raging out there. I need to give up sugar in my life, I have a terrible addiction to sugar and it's progression over the years is killing me. Today, I surrender to sugar, there's no place in my life for you anymore, you are keeping me from leading a happy normal life so I bid you farewell my old friend, time for you to go!

Managed to get out for a walk yesterday, it was hard, haven't exercised all winter. I went out for a nice evening with some friends to the Triangle, great food & entertainment. I ate a little more than I would of liked to but the world is not going to end, today is a new day, back on track. Strive for balance not perfection, no one is perfect, need to cheat a little once in awhile. More bad weather on the way here, hoping to get out for a walk later, happy Sunday everyone!

Day 2, well I made it past the first day, it wasn't too bad. So good to have foods that I enjoy in my day again. I'm staying focused and trying to not look at the long haul, staying focused on my first goal. I really want to get below 200 hundred pounds, I'm trying to remember the last time I weighed under 200 and I would have to say it was in the late 1980's. I regret so much that I let my weight get out of hand. When I first started dieting, I just had a new baby and my weight was around the 170's, not really all that bad for just having a baby. I look back now and have to ask myself how did I get to 225 pounds? (Not my highest weight by the way) I would have to say it's because I started doing all the crazy dieting and different food plans that restricted certain foods. Going out with some friends tonight, staying on my plan no matter what, being prepared is half the battle, planning. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail!! Happy Saturday, more snow on the way, just what we need after this horrific winter from hell!!!

Well today is the day! No more procrastinating and no more crazy fad diets. I weighed in this morning at 225 lbs, too much for my poor 5'2 frame, can't carry this around anymore. My goal is too take it slow & steady, I would like to average a 2 pound weight loss each week, first major goal for me is to get out of the 200's. I'm going to be following a 1400 calorie diet, even though it tells me that I can have 1600 per day.
