Had a terrible disturbed night. I am still suffering stomach cramps and a little discomfort from the op and added to that a generally over active brain and I was on to a hiding to nothing.
My back is stiff and sore this morning, though my knees are fine. I have now gone two whole days without any painkiller and I am not keen to start taking them for my back.
I went for my morning constitutional again this morning. It was glorious when I started off but the cloud was building by the time I returned home. I have a washing to do this morning, so I will get a few trips up and down the stairs before that's done.
Yesterday's diet went not too bad. I was slightly over my RDI, but there was some Cranberry & Raisin mix to finish, which I had with my morning cereal, and a last Magnum Mini, which I had for dessert at dinner time. My Carb intake was 32% which is around the ballpark figure I am happy with.

Weight up again this morning (not surprising after a lovely lunch and obscene amounts of ice cream to follow), however today is back on the wagon day. Yesterday I had no painkillers at all, and this morning I went for my morning constitutional (the first time in 7 weeks). Didn't go very far, but I am trying to get back into my old routine. When I see the surgeon, next week, I will ask if I can resume cycling.
I did a rather silly thing yesterday. We took delivery of 3 bags of cat litter, each weighing 40 lbs/18.2 Kg. We keep them upstairs, in the spare room, but I couldn't have my wife struggling to take them up. So I did. To save my stomach muscles I lifted then with the one hand and carried them up. My stomach felt fine. The problem is!!! This morning my lower back and knees are giving me gyp. It is amazing how much weaker you are after being housebound for 6 weeks.
(For the benefit of none UK buddies, gyp - which means to cheat - is also used here to mean giving grief.)
