I feel good today, going to work hard this weekend to stay on track. Made myself go to the gym last night. I really didn't want to, but once I was there I got my workout in and felt really good about it. I was starving last night when I got home. Ate a bit more calories than I wanted to, but I ate good food that was still on plan. Could have been much worse.

I am happy with 0.8 I was hoping for at least 1 pound, but this is close enough. Even if I can do this every week to get rid of this last 17 pounds, I'll be happy. I have to come to terms with the fact that it's not going to come off the way it did in the beginning. I'm not going to lose 8 lbs in one week, with only this little bit to go. Onward and upward... (but, I hope the scale goes downward...)

Well, it's Wednesday... getting there. Last night was rough. After work, went straight to the gym. Planned on going home to start dinner. Didn't work out that way - my son got hit pretty hard in the head at football practice. Had to rush to get him and decided to bring him to the hospital to have him checked out. They did a CT Scan and ruled out a concussion (THANK GOD - already had one of those 2 years ago and he's just 11). It scared us pretty good, but he's fine. No football or gym for at least a week. I was secretly hoping they would say no more football for the season, but I am just greatful he's not hurt.
Even with all that going on, I still managed to eat right and stay on plan. My husband tried to convince me we can "grab Burger King by the hospital". I said no way and took 20 extra minutes to feed the family a proper meal. The old me would have agreed to the temptation, especially under the stress. YAY ME!!

Very happy the weekend is finally here... and that this is a pay week. I've decided I'm only going to record my weigh in's once a week. I don't think recording it every day is beneficial. I'm up .4 from yesterday and I'm not comfortable with recording a gain, when I don't think it's a true gain. I think it's just the clothes I'm wearing today. My mind is made up, I'll weigh myself everyday just to make sure I'm on target, but only record my weigh in on Thursday of each week (wearing the same thing).
This has been a very stressful week. Husband still has not gotten back to work, I had a very busy week at work, kids have very hectic schedules with school, homework, and sports. My youngest had a pretty bad cold which he seems to finally be getting over... (Sigh) With everything going on - the stress, the running around, the neverending pile of laundry - I still got to the gym 4 nights this week. I have really been slacking since the kids went back to school. No more excuses, if I managed this week no reason why I can't make the time for it every week.
Best of luck to all of you this weekend with all of your efforts and determination, you will be closer to your goals in no time. And for those of us who slip up, no big deal. Just forgive yourself and get back to it!

I did it! It's Thursday and I've lost the 4 lbs that I gained last weekend. I'm back to where I was last Friday morning... Now getting through the weekend is a whole different ball game. I know I should cut beer out completely, but if I really want one or two with family and friends (who are getting together on Friday night) which is my best option? Michelob Ultra? Bud Light? Any suggestions for a low carb beer that actually tastes good? Thanks!!
