Quiet day, even though it was lovely. I did have some household chores to do, so that is what I did. Laundry, washing floors, etc. Tomorrow is another day and I will be getting out for some much needed exercise, come rain or shine!

Since rediscovering this site, I have not really made any goals, so, as its the first of the month, I thought it was about time to make some.
I don't want to overwhelm myself, or set goals that are difficult or downright unobtainable without a great deal of hardship on my part. I don't believe in making myself miserable with diet. ( as if I'm not miserable enough just being overweight! )
So.. a modest weight loss of a pound a week. Weigh in days will be Fridays. I've always been comfortable weighing in on Friday. I think it comes from years ago, my WW meetings were on Fridays, and I've always done it that way. Helps that its the first of the month too!
I will try to walk 5 days a week. This will be depending on my knees. I have some arthritis in both knees and if I do something in the am, like gardening, then walking in the evenings is pretty much out! However, I will have gotten some exercise with the gardening, so.. thats a good thing. I just like walking!
I eat a mostly plant based diet and will try to increase that, although its pretty good as it is.
I think thats all for now. I can add to this as I think of things I would like to add to my goals.

Perhaps not the best day for my diet, but a wonderful day, none the less! Usual morning.. then a lovely, long lunch with an old friend, nearly 3 hours of laughing and catching up! Followed by an hour long walk along the "mighty" Fraser river, and then his nibs wanted to try out a new Chinese restaurant in our little town. Lunch was a very healthful quinoa salad ( we shall not go into the sangria she made! ) but I may have over eaten slightly at dinner. Kudos to the new owners of our little Chinese restaurant! They did themselves proud and I will no longer boycott this place. I was not fond of the food made under the old owners, but the freshness and flavour I tasted last night , was a wonderful surprise!

Was snooping around this site a bit, at my own stuff (!) and noticed that it said I was "gaining 0.2 lbs a week, w hen in fact, I have lost almost a pound this week, 0.8 lbs.... still figuring stuff out... but that, I just don't understand!!
