April 26th
Today is my 24hr fast. It's actually not as horrible as it appears. I believe I stopped eating yesterday at 5:30pm which means I'll break my fast at 5:30pm today. I may have to go longer 'cause I train someone at 5:30pm which means I won't be able to eat until 6:30ish or 7 tonight. Here goes!!

I'm hungry, but not too bad. My energy level is high and I got a lot of stuff done today. I didn't realize how much time one spends eating, LOL...for example... this morning I was able to go the bank and grocery shopping all BEFORE work. Then during my lunch I prepared all my veggies for my break - fast. Plus I was trying to occupy my time so I didn't dwell on eating. I was even able to fix my husbands lunch w/out caving in. One thing I noticed. How many times I caught myself starting to stick food in my mouth as I prepared the food. It was almost an absent minded habit. Whew...luckily I caught myself.

I've got a little over 2 1/2 hrs left. I know I'm going to be starving, but I'm so glad I will be busy until my break - fast because if I were home just waiting...I may not make it. I'm drinking black coffee now hoping for it to curb my appetite a bit and it is =)

Back later.

Broke the fast at 6:30. I started w/some cut-up veggies and hummus...yummmmm. Then had sliced chicken breast over brown rice & steam broccoli. Afterwards, I had one serving piece of dark chocolate. I'm very full and satisfied.

Truthfully, once 5:30 rolled around, I felt like I could go longer. It was sorta strange. Now I'm back on my 19 hr fast for the rest of the week. I'll do the 24 hr once a week.

I'm almost afraid to weigh. I ate a lot yesterday, but it was with-in my 5 hour window. We shall see. I'm going to fast till 3pm. So my eating window will be 3pm - 8pm, but I don't plan to eat past 5pm. Then I will do a 24hr fast breaking the fast tomorrow at 5pm...Hummm, I'm really curious how it will turn out.
I'll weigh and record later.

Okay, I did weigh. I was at 148 which means not only did I not lose, but I gained a couple of ounces. I'm not worried =)
It is 3:15pm and I've hit my 19th hour and I'm not hungry. I might wait a little longer before I eat.

I actually ate @ 5pm. It felt so good being able to extend it even further. I think the biggest relief was confessing to my husband what I was doing. I hadn't told him because I dreaded getting the "lecture" from him. Instead, he shocked me. He is supportive and has accepted my fasting. He actually likes the plan and plans on doing it with me =)

Now, I'm off to do the 24 hr fast. Next time I'll eat will be 5pm tomorrow. I don't expect any problems.

Okay the weekend is here. I'm going to try to extend my fast a couple of hours longer so I can have a window of 3pm to 8pm.

So far i'm noticing my energy level for running is low. I tried running last night after eating and I didn't do too well. I think I need to wait a little longer after my meal.

another thing I'm noticing is that I'm starting to feel guilty when I do eat...NOT GOOD!!!! I know better than this.

I'll weigh later. I'm at 147.8!!

It's 2pm. My fast should have ended at 12:30pm today, but I'm trying to extend it to 3pm. I have just one more hour. Truthfully, I don't feel too bad. don't get me wrong. I'm hungry, but it seems manageable. I'm thinking about working in a 24 fast during the week. I'm not sure yet. If I do, I'm thinking about doing it on Sunday.

Here's my plan:
Monday - 24hr fast
Tuesday - break fast @ 12:30 - 5:30 (window of eating)
Wednesday - same
Thursday - same
Friday - same
Saturday - 3 - 8
Sunday - 12:30 - 5:30
