Working today and I could fair go without this shift. The sore throat started yesterday, and I awoke this morning to a re-run of the streaming cold I had before Christmas. Lucky White Heather!

Since my last weigh in I have eaten an average of nearly 2900 Kcals per day. And I haven't put on any weight. I haven't lost any, but that is possibly for the future. I have dramatically reduced my sugar intake except for fresh fruit, I have upped my fibre intake, I have now stopped Diet Coke and Irn Bru Extra and I am taking an Apple Cider Vinegar tablet with breakfast. I still haven't got a good grip on refined Carbs yet, but I am heading that way.
I am eating 3 meals a day. Breakfast is any time between 6 am and 9 am, Lunch is around noon and Dinner is at 4:30 pm. I am eating nothing between meals.
I don't feel hungry, I have plenty energy and I am not feeling cold. If I manage to lose more weight, great, but if not I would happily live like this.
More to follow!

The more I read of the "Obesity Code", the more confused I get as to what eating regime I would be best to follow. I suppose it will become clear when I finally reach the end!
Here is a happy snap of Lucy and Lily. Best of friends. Well at least for TODAY!

While reading "The Obesity Code" I became aware of the issues around drinking Diet Soda, so I did some further research. I am astounded at what I found. Far from helping you to lose weight studies have found that people who change from "regular" soda to diet, without any other dietary changes, actually gain weight. The sweeteners in diet soda actually cause a greater Insulin spike than sugar does, and as it is Insulin Resistance I am wanting to reduce this is counter productive. It also appears that the artificial sweetener fools your body into thinking it is going to get sugar, and when it finds it isn't getting sugar it switches on a craving for sugar. And if you give in to that craving . . . . . . . . . . . .
So if you add to all this the fact that you are feeding your body a man made chemical, the side affects of which we don't full understand, Diet Soda may not be the best option. I am stopping using it as of now. It will be water in future. If I do have the very occasional soda, I will go for the "full fat" variety.
I have a washing on this morning, so it will be umpteen flights of stairs for me today. Aiming for 40 flights. It had been a while since I logged that many.
Have a great week and keep safe.

Just back from an hour dance class. We are doing two Show dances for our Renewal reception and have upper our tuition to 2 hours per week. Friday is with our usual instructor and Sunday with her ex-Ballroom champion husband. Today was a hard shift. Spent most of the time working on our First Waltz then about 10 minutes on our Argentine Tango. Ready for dinner now!
Had a superb dinner yesterday. Two HUGE Ostrich steaks, with fried eggs and fried mushrooms. They were so tender and so tasty. Tonight is just a Hotpot.
