Off to see the surgeon today, about this lump that is growing on my abdomen. At first I thought it was a hematoma, but it is growing bigger by the day. For long enough it caused no discomfort, but now it is getting a bit painful. I also feel I have another hernia at the other side. We will see what Mr Bennett has to say.
Third fasting day and I am finding it easy going. The second day was easier than the first so we will see what the third has to bring. I intend having a 60 hour fast later this week (from Dinner, Wednesday, to Breakfast, Saturday) so we will see how that goes.
Yesterday I found I was struggling to eat what I had decided on, having to split my dinner into two sittings! I should have foregone what was a supper, but I did not want to waste good food, especially when I had counted the calories. Tomorrow I will eat my fill and count what I eat so if I fill easily then my calorie count will be a lot lower.
My wife has dropped a load of dress sizes (from an 18, down to an 8 or a 10, depending on where she shops) by just not eating after 6pm, I pointed out to her that what she is doing is Intermittent Fasting too, albeit 12:12, but she is extremely sceptical about my new IF regime. She eats what she want, including cream buns and chocolate, but has found that as her size diminished so too did her appetite. She has obviously reset her Insulin Resistance by her regime and now feels full earlier. I hope I have a similar success.

Fasted for 40 hours, and it was really very easy. A big drop when I got on the scales this morning. I broke my fast with a bowl of porridge and double cream. The thing was, I could barely finish it!
Only times yesterday, that I felt hungry, was when I put the car in my garage, which is next to my local and the lunch time kitchen exhaust! Then again, at dinner time, when my good lady had a large smoked haddock vol-au-vent. I think it was because it had a strong smell.
This morning, before breakfast, I popped to the bakers and bought Mrs T a Fudge Cream Doughnut. And nothing for myself!!!
I will continue the intermittent fasting this week, then maybe try two fasting days on the trot. It was that easy. I did drink about 3 Litres of water with several cups of tea and coffee as well. Oh yes, and I took a Laxido, just in case I had any problems in that department.

Well that is a pleasant surprise. This week I have averaged a daily intake of 2878 Kcals. with a daily high of 3726 and a low of 2630. The unusual thing, by letting my body decide what it needs, for most of the week I was consuming 2630 to 2660, daily. Surprising how well your body regulates what it needs.
So what have I done different. Reducing sugar, no DIET soda, increased Fibre (even to the extent of increasing my Carbs, as my main source of Fibre has been All Bran or Bran Flakes), eating a couple of Apples each day, three meals a day with no snacks in between and taking a One-a-day Apple Cider Vinegar tablet.
Now starts Phase II. As of today I am going on an Intermittent Fast. My intention is to fast every second day. All I will consume, calorie wise will be the milk I take in my tea and coffee and one Tassimo Creamer from milk, for my one "posh" coffee a day.
Today I have a running nose and a throat that feels it has been cut from the inside. I have decided to forego painkillers as I do not think they do all that much.
Wish me luck on my fasting and I will be sure to report back on my experience!
