Oh, my goodness! I can't believe i am down to 170 for the first time in many, many years!! My lowest weight in years was 173 just before my son passed in 2009. I am especially surprised that i have lost and not gained, because i had a very painful Synvisc-One shot directly into the joint of my right knee on Monday. I was unable to even walk out to my car because of the pain when i put any weight on it, and had to be helped to, and into, my car. (I had driven myself because i've always driven to get my cortisone shots in my knee, and was never in enough pain that i couldn't walk to my car on my own. I was told the Synvisc-One <rooster comb> shot wasn't any worse. . . WRONG!!!). I was surprised to find that driving was actually not much of a problem, because i didn't have to put very much pressure on the gas pedal, and the brake was tolerable. However, getting from my car to my house was less enjoyable and a WHOLE lot less comfortable. I was barely able to walk that day, and Tuesday. Yesterday was a little better, and i am able to walk almost normally today, without having to use a walking stick or hanging onto something. I sure hope this works for six months, like they said it usually does, because i don't think i am brave enough to sit through getting another one!! All that to say that i haven't been able to do my usual exercises since Sunday night, so i expected to gain a t least a couple of pounds, and i DIDN'T (at least not yet)!

I know there are no excuses for messing up, but i HAVE had a busy and frustrating week. And i haven't been home much, so have been eating places and things i shouldn't have. The only things they had to snack on after i donated blood day before yesterday were cookies and chips, both of which i partook, and i did drink a small bottle of apple juice there, as well as a bottle of water. It's amazing how much faster the calories go ON, as opposed to how slowly they come OFF! And i was so proud of my progress. :o(
Tonight i am getting together with some friends, and we always order something to eat. I'm glad i don't drink alcohol, as i have heard that it puts weight on quickly, as well. I usually drink iced tea.
