It all started with Thanksgiving. Great weekend with my son and his soon ex wife (Hooray!) It was wonderful and set in some deep concern about them and her dividing him from family and friends, which put me into a dark depression. Well! The miracle of miracles happened and she suddenly left him. Happily he is FINE with that. He is more himself and all is improving but then our no-existent winter came back. I remember why I just despise living here as February arrived. I always feel horrible in this brutal and thankfully short month. I've been eating whatever when I eat - not good choices so no surprise I've totally regained everything I had lost within 3 months.
I'm trying to dig myself out of this mess. I know what to do. I know how to do it, several ways to do it in fact. I just need to do the right things and stick with it

I really loved my personal plan.. Alas, I have undermined my efforts beginning with Halloween. Then Thanksgiving. Then Christmas & NYE/NY Day eating. I know it's sugar and carbs that are blowing my eating, firstly by their very nature but also because I just crave them like mad. As I gained another 3# it occurs to me that perhaps a shift in strategy is needed.
It's winter, grey and cold as a frozen snot-cicle, but I need exercise. Correction, I need the motivation to exercise. I need to build some muscle, build my bones and burn some energy in general. Since I can't just move to a warmer climate and I had to give up my gym membership (ah, budgets!) I need to do this in my home until Spring blesses us.
