Well I leave for school today and have mixed emotions... I'm really excited to see my friends and start classes but am going to miss home, and I'm super nervous for the amount of work I'm going to have. I'm also really pissed at myself for blowing the progress I'd made towards my goal. I'm hoping that the change of scenery and the ability for me to choose my own dinners will help me get back on track. I keep forgetting how gross I feel when I'm constantly full, and that it
does
feel good to be a bit hungry once in a while (I'm not even hungry after waking up this morning... not a good sign!
But anyway, today is a new day and I'm hoping that my being very busy/traveling for a lot of the day will help with detox. My plan for the day is to not have any refined anything... so just fresh fruit, whole grains, etc. Wish me luck!

Ughhhh last night was BAD. Started off the day really well... woke up to go to swim practice and had a healthy omelet when I got back... The problem came in after I went to Costco and picked up peanut butter AND nutella... I was digging into them for the rest of the day! Then we grilled burgers for dinner, and Though I was proud of myself for not eating any more when I was full... apparently that was not enough to stop eating dessert. I had pudding at first (the sugar-free Jello stuff that has only 60 calories... I was proud of myself!!). But then my mom brought out the Oberweis vanilla ice cream and hot fudge... and well, I am not that strong! Needless to say, my weight has spiked and my stomach is NOT happy with me this morning :(
I'm doing most of my packing for college today, which could be good or bad; I'm in the house most of the day, which is a recipe for mindless-snacking disaster. On the other hand, I should be kept fairly busy by all the things I need to do to get ready... hopefully my willpower holds up a bit better today than it did yesterday!

Hooray! I'm so happy that after going hog wild and not working out yesterday for my birthday, I didn't balloon up like I usually do after a bad day and dinner out. I'm still feeling a little bloaty, however, so I think I'm going to do a mini-detox today.
I hate skipping 2 consecutive days of workout, but I'm still SUPER sore from my lift on Wednesday, so I'm not exactly sure what I could do. I may try to go for an easy swim this afternoon.
All in all, I'm happy with my progress.
