Happy Monday!
But not for me..getting frustrated with this weight bounce. Just can't figure out what's causing it. Me partly, but something else is going on, I think. I'm at the Dr now. I'll update this journal when I get home.

ok, made it home. Talked with my PA there at the Dr. office. She said that it could just be fluid, or my Bronchitis,(which decided to flare up again), or I'm building some muscle, so that could be it. We both agreed that I will take my phentermine every day this week to see if that will kick me down out of this bounce. I usually take that every other day, as it really gives me what I call the caffeine jitters. We'll see.

I've been mostly good, with only a one day pizza pig fest. I know that I have to try to rearrange my eating schedule. My problems with that are legendary!! lol! I get up a little late, I don't eat breakfast, I eat lunch in the early afternoon, like between 2 or 3, then eat supper when the hubbs gets home around 6ish. I'm going to have to start getting up earlier, "try" to eat breakfast, a larger calorie lunch before 3, and a lighter meal for supper.

That is one of the hardest things for me. I guess I have just gotten into such a habit with my eating patterns. I just can't eat a heavier meal in the evening, then just kind of sit around and watch some tv with the husband, and spend the rest of the evening either crocheting or on the computer messing around. At least the hub has a good idea that as soon as supper is over, I want to go for a walk. We have a nice 20 minute route that we take every evening it isn't raining. I try to take that same route at some point in the day. We'll see how things go.

I've restocked my veggies, for me to steam for lunch and suppper. I got some skinless boneless chicken thighs for this week, and I think I'll make those for supper on the grill.

Well, enough of me whining...lol!! Time to get moving! Have a great day everyone!!

Happy Friday!!

Boy, did I overdo it yesterday! Ugh! And all because I didn't want to cook supper, or dig anything out of the freezer, and I was having a "bad teeth" day! Stupid teeth and dumb me!! Oh well, life goes on, and I just have to put that aside and get back on track. Bad part was, I didn't realize how bad I went over until I entered it! I normally enter it before I eat it! It was kind of a screwed up day anyway, and had a little family stress to deal with. Sometimes you just have one of those brain fart days!

I'm having a better day, not so much foggy and goofy headed! Lunch from the steamer is a sliced carrot, some cauliflower, 3 green onions and 3 inner leaves of some romaine. Slight sprinkle of some sea salt, and slowly eaten with chopsticks, as I'm posting a journal!! LOL! I will be heading out for a good 20 to 25 minute walk shortly. It has stopped raining, and it will be a beautiful and warm weekend! Hopefully we will be able to finish some of the things we started outside, and I just may get that new garden bed done!

Well, thats enough for right now. Have a wonderful weekend and keep up that great work!!

Good Morning!!
Well, I'm back down to 261.4. After settling down and eating the way I should, even with some sweets in there, I'm on track.

Boy, I did some yard work yesterday!! I used the trimmer to get the edges of the yard and clean up the driveway, and get some of the longer grass that we can't get with the mower. That little think kicked my butt!! I took my time, and was out there for a few hours, but it was great!! I even drug out the chairs for the table, and scrubbed them off. The soap kind of dried on them, but its suppose to rain today, so that should rinse them..lol!! I just was so tired, that I couldn't drag that hose out. Maybe the hubbs can do that on saturday for me..lol! I'll have to rescrub those chairs anyway.

Today will be a mostly indoor day I'm guessing. I think before I get too involved with the "net" today, or my crochet, I'll get my pudgy butt in gear and go for a walk!! Trying to think of something good to make for supper today, and not succeeding very well!! I've only had one cup of coffee. l need some more to get those brain cells jumping!!

Keep up the great work everyone and have a spectacular day!! You deserve it!!

It's HUMP DAY!!!
Its a wonderfully beautiful sunny almost cloudless sky day!
I think I will grab that new electric weed whacker and go trim up the front yard.

I told the hubs that its light enough, and that I can use that with no problem. That will get me some good exercise!! We also had blown up the lawn mower last year. So, instead of getting a power mower, we got a good old fashion reel push mower!! People powered! Its adjusted just right, so there is a little resistance when you push it. It has height settings on this one, not like the one we had when I was a kid. Gives us both some exercise!! I told the hubby that I can cut the front and trim, and he can do the back!! lol! The front is fairly level, but the back yard is kind of like down one hill and up the other!! The town is supposed to start working on drains and sewer lines this year, and the one for this block, goes right down the middle of my back yard. Maybe when they're done, this back yard will be a tad more level. One can only hope!!

I think I'm going to make some barbeque chicken tonight. I have the chicken thighs in the crock pot already, and later tonight it will just be a matter of pouring on the sauce. MMMM!!! Chicken, with steamed cauliflower and zucchini and carrots, and maybe some peas. Yum!

I'm having a nice quiet moment right now, as it seems that its the cats siesta time!! They are all sleeping all over the place!! I have one on the back of my chair, one on the window sash, one on my footstool, one on top of the cat tree....Sometimes when it gets this quiet, I suspect something is going on, and have to go check and see! Just like having kids!

Well, I'm off, I here some suspicious noise from the kitchen!
Have a wonderful day!!

Tuesday! Its a lovely sunny day!
I want to thank everyone who commented on my weigh in yesterday. I really appreciate every ones input!

That's one of the main reason's I come here. The unconditional support from those that are in this journey with me! I can come here and tell you things I might hesitate to tell some one here in the real world. It's because most of us have been there at some point in our lives. Some of us have been on every conceivable diet, fad diet and eating plan under the sun. We all know what we have to do. We just need the support sometimes! Then we in turn support and help someone else!

That's FS for me. I had just a little bit of a rebellion over the weekend, and I know what I did. I also know what it cost for that, and now that it's over (more tantrum than rebellion, lol) I can get back on track and do what I know I have to do!! Sometimes we need that little break, that little revolution, that little stamping tantrum. If we allow it when it first starts, and not try to stifle it too much,it will be a small blip on the journey, and not a huge battle later on!!

I do not eat only certain foods. I eat what I want. That includes cake, candy, chocolate, icecream, etc. I just make sure that when I eat it, I really ENJOY it. I take time to eat it. I savor every bite. You would be surprised at how satisfied you are at the end!! There are many times that I start to eat a piece of cake, or pie, and I take my time eating it, and enjoy it, that by the time I get to that last bite, it is usually so sweet and cloying, I'm done, and not wanting to finish.

I apply that method to everything I eat now. I try to enjoy the meal, and actually take time to taste! That is most of the problem with those of us that used to eat so fast we never tasted what we were eating!!

So...today's suggestion is SLOW DOWN!! Enjoy that meal! Learn to taste again! Don't just shovel it in!! Take the time to help your body digest what you are eating. The longer it take you to eat a meal, the less of that meal you eat!! Once you can slow down, eating appropriate size portions will be a snap!

One of my favorite things to do when I eat out, is usually to tell the server to either bring me a take home box, or to put half of my meal in a take home box. That helps so much!! That way you don't have to deal with what some of us older people deal with, the not eating everything on your plate guilt!! If its not on there, you don't feel bad about eating everything that's there!! I am starting to tell them from the beginning to bring me a box. Then I take the time to put at least half of my meal in it. If I'm still a little hungry, I might dip into the box, but most of the time, I don't. Just remember to take your time. You win in the end!!

Well, I'm off!! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!
