My daughter is home with the baby and I am able to get back into a more normal routine. I'm back to work and back at home where my food choices are in line with my diet.

My daughter went into the hospital at 4:30am Thursday and had to have an emergency c-section on Friday. She's doing okay, having a few complications and has to stay in the hospital until Tuesday or later. She had a boy, 6 pounds, 11 ounces. He is doing great! I am taking care of the other children while she is in the hospital.
I took some salads and meats to eat. I am surrounded by junk food and carbs in her home and with it being Easter weekend they have loads of candy. I have resisted the temptations to eat the junk, but I have not eaten my full amount of foundation veggies like I usually do. I have been so busy that I have not even been eating enough in general. Yesterday, I only ate 50% of what I usually would, but there were 9 carbs in the foundation veggies. I guess I'll do better when I'm back home with my own food surrounding me. Even if I have to go back and forth to help her out I will do better. It sure has thrown some of my challenges this time around. But I have done well with drinking water and I have not had a cup of coffee since Thursday. lol
