carbs don't make you fat and low carbs don't make you fat but mixing the two diets together can really put on the pounds! I have lost weight on low carb (Atkins and Keto) and I have lost weight on high carbs (McDougal's starch solution or WFPBNO). They both work to loose weight but which diet is the most healthy for us and for the planet and for the animals? Both of the diets take a while to get used to! My cardiologist recommend the non processed whole foods for a healthier heart! I'm a diabetic and I thought I couldn't eat potatoes, corn, rice and pasta with beans but I can! When you're loosing your blood sugar goes down. I prefer WFPBNO to keto and there is so much food to choose from and it protects your heart.

Don't you just hate that doctors are against each other about keto and WFPB? I'm 71 and as I can remember it has been eat more fruits and vegetables and eat your greens! Now how can adjust without fruits and one that restricts some vegetables be good for you? Maybe it's ok to do a diet for a short time to loose weight and then eat your fruits and lots of any vegetables but a diet without them can't be good for you for the long haul! Now that's just my opinion and you can have yours!

Last year I got down to 186 and then quit my diet and gained up to 223! Horrible, huh? Then I started back on my diet and now back to 195! I don't want that to happen again! I was doing the Dr Furhman WOE which is very strict but healthy. Now I'm doing Dr McDougal's diet which allows me to have so much more of a variety. I just have to do it. Because of the variety I think I can do it this time!
