0700 So monkey wound up doing 2.5 miles this morning between steam soaks. Can't resist that elli I guess. Still have cardioX today, but feel a bit looser for it now. Yes, I am complaining about the soreness, but even still, I am proud to have it. It is my reminder that I am becoming stronger. Every spot I feel one of my muscles again reminds me that they are awakening and reforming. I just keep thinking Destroy, Build, Destroy. Yep. Busted. We watch nerd TV in the monkey house. ;-)
Also, why do more people not use the steam room? Is it not the cool thing to do? It feels like home to me. Every time I get in I say Thank you, Dear, Sweet Lord Baby JESUS in a Trench Coat! Do you people know how dry it is in Alaska? Sweat, Monkey, Sweat!

I finished CardioX Day2 of P90X (Lean) I feel like crap. I'm going shoe shopping. If I can manage a shower. I don't know if I can cram my fat meathooks in shoes at all, really. My quads feel like they are made of quikcrete right now. Not chiseled from marble like the gods on the packaging of the DVD's at all. Just a square hardened sack of Portland Cement that fell out of the back of some dude's truck at the Homer Depot. But hey, Kiss my big ole butt, I finished! Ha! Eat Bananaas!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a great workout yesterday and had time to use the steam room and sauna. Such a reward here in Alaska. I am so over being dried out and cold. GAH! Anyway, I got up to drive DH to work today so I could have the truck and repeat the process but that was a no go. I sat for an hour waiting for their containers to get opened from overseas. That never happened. So frustrating. So I came home cranky without a truck and put on my first day of P90X. Lets just say...I considered flinging myself downstairs to refill my water instead of bothering withthe torture of walking down them. Yay. ;-) plank, monkey, plank!

Wowsa! It's been a hot minute since I journaled. The thing with redeployment is when they come back, its all about them. Getting them back to real life, getting them reacquainted with the day to day, and they arent always going to understand that now you go to yoga two hours a day. One car makes that a bit harder. All he can think of are all the things he was missing over that year, not all the new stuff you were adding in. So, needless to say, there is a bit of a readjustment period. Plus block leave. Some ways it is good. Some ways not so much. There is no schedule. Even though DH didnt take leave, there just wasnt much to keep him occupied, so our regular homescHool, workout, daily life schedule didnt run smoothly either. Its been two months of chaotic living. Now we enter month three. Everyone is back from leave and our unit begins all the traditional social functions. We have awards ceremonies, farewells, formals, roasts, change of command, all in all we are busy TWENTY nights out of the next thirty, and that does not include last night and the nigt before, and we both have separate functions today. Did I mention it is fifty below outside and we have one car? So. I have maintained my weight. Just barely. I am proud of that though, because it has been a struggle. DH loves his steak and taters. I WILL BERAK MY 200 PLATEAU IN FEBRUARY. I am going to the gym when the soldiers have mandatory PT at 0530. I start p90x this week at home as well. Thats the straight poop there.
