I had the good fortune to work out with a couple that just got engaged. This young couple, in love, reminded me just how fun that life is. They were so encouraging and compassionate toward each other. They fought through the workout together. Thanks to Mandy and Mac for reminding what true love acts like.
We cycled through the stations. Burpees, box jumps and jump rope are my weakest movements and they were all combined in one station. Typically I can find one movement that I excel at to make up for the others. I was able to string together 30 single unders which was a victory in and of itself. Although youth is no longer on my side, I made it out alive.
Now for the diet... I am having a difficult time getting my macros in. I am only eating, on average, 1,200 calories a day.

There is something gratifying about weighing and measuring meals. I feel much more mindful of my decisions.
I have been gluten free, dairy free and soda free for 12 days. I am starting to notice that my joints aren’t as sore.
My workout last night went well. The partner accessory work was great because my partner picked a heavier wb for the core work. Row 200 - 20 wb sit-ups- row 200. 2 rft I was able to make up a little time on the rows so my partner and I could work steadily through the core exercise.

I, reluctantly, went to the box last night. The workout was spicy. Single unders, wall balls, dumb bells, push ups and ring rows. It is amazing what 25 minutes of work will do for the mental state. Allowing the mind to become one with the body is a great way to end the day.
My lack of core strength proved to be a problem last night during my push ups. I tweaked my lower back. I have been doing stretches to maintain mobility. I am focusing on core strength for 2018.
In food news, I am so hungry. I had Kodiak Cakes and fruit for breakfast. The Kodiak Cakes totally lived up to the delicious hype. Lunch came early with broccoli and tuna steak.
