I'm a housewife (happily) and dog-mom. I'm 42, about 70lbs overweight and admittedly I naturally have "love to sleep" and problem and binge eating disorder (BED).

That last tidbit motivated me to design an online support social network and 'magazine' of sorts. It's called BingeBehavior.com and it is my way of working through this problem and trying to give a voice to others at the same time.

I don't drink any longer and my food cravings have changed completely. I used to easily avoid sugar but now I crave it unreasonably. I haven’t succumbed to any alcohol cravings but food, I’ve miserably failed in that category. Also, I don't tend to feel full and therefore overeat.

I exercise in spurts and procrastinate a lot. If it's raining, snowing or uncomfortable out I can easily talk myself out of hoofing it to Bikram. I absolutely hate mindless cardio and do not run. Ever. I never have been able to.

Ok, there are all of the down sides to me. Here are a few upsides.

I'm a kick-ass wife. I love my home and my family. I have a great sense of humor. I'm relatively intelligent and I have a warm heart.

I'm motivated to the extent that I desperately want figure out what is behind this unhealthy relationship with food (a relationship that would be just as unhealthy if I was thin) and learn to re-order my thinking. To celebrate things about myself in healthier ways than I do. Of course, I also want to look better and live healthier so I’m going to hold myself accountable by being completely open and honest in this community.

So, that's me. Maybe I'll adjust my bio later, but it's me right now.
