Hello! I'm a late 30's Toronto based gal who is fighting the battle of the bulge - again. I gained substantial amount of weight over a 3 year period (stressed!) and am now working hard to get myself healthy and in a positive place.
I believe in whole foods and creating an eating plan for me that is sustainable for how I live. I have a daughter, and being a good example on healthy living is important to me. Also, I want to be social, and carrying around packaged foods, elimintig entire food groups, or never having a glass of wine doesn't work with that! Therefore my approach is to limit breads, high glycemic index foods, and just count calories. I will watch my weight, and see what works, what doesn't, and alter my course of action accordingly.
So far it feels like alot of work, but I know that the value of my life, and living healthily, makes it worth it!
I'd love to connect with peeps who have a great attitude and are committed to the process for the long haul :)
