Hi! I am 37 years old and I am in a committed relationship. I have struggled with my weight since puberty, but if I am honest with myself I have felt compelled by food since I was a very small child. I truly believe that I am a food addict, and I am working on my issues through the help of Beaumont Hospital here in Royal Oak, where I live. I am currently on The Beaumont Diet, where I drink 5 meal replacements a day and I can have all the non-starchy vegetables that I want. This is my 4th week and I feel great about my progress~20lbs! yeah!! My goal is to get to a healthy weight and BMI before I am 40. This gives me 2.5 years to do it! I would actually like to do it sooner though. :) I am finally very committed to this effort and I am trying daily NOT to let food control me anymore!
