More than 13 years ago, I went from 240 lbs to 125 lbs on Atkins. I maintained 130-135 with diet and exercise. I even ran a half marathon in 2000. But as usual, life sometimes throws us a curve ball. Starting in late 2006, I was in a situation where I could not workout or eat the way I wanted. I was also working from 18hrs- 20hrs a day. Then, I ended up being my mother's primary caregivier. So, I gained a ridiculous amount of weight.
I figured I'd have to reach back to the past to remember how I was to succeed at weightloss, and look at it as I had any other challenge in my life. I write down achievable goals and talk to friends about those goals, so there is some accountability.
