Hi there!
I started gaining weight from about the age of 8 and struggled through my teens. I started to extreme diet at the age of 17 and yo-yo dieted for years. When I was 25 I was over 200 pounds, which was at my heaviest and my skin and hair were in really bad condition. I started introducing good habits like drinking 2 pints of filtered water per day and gradually started to improve. Over the course of 2 years I lost about 30 pounds.
I then found some exercise that I loved but plateaued at about 168. Finally I discovered calorie counting which brought me to the next level of about 154 pounds.
My forever goal is to get to 140 pounds but am not sure if my body wants to go there.
Following the advice of a trainer, I have started weight training and tried intermittent fasting with lots of protein. I like what I eat now and my whole system feels great when I follow the paleo plan, but I cannot work with the whole 'cheat day/hour' and just end up going on a binge. So while I like the quality of the food that I am eating, I also need to follow calorie counting as it makes me feel in control.
I have been gradually creeping back up towards 168 and I need to take control!!! I am currently 162 and need to start making strides to decrease and get rid of some of this fat that I am carrying around!
