I know it's not just the weight loss but everything is so good right now, I feel confident because I'm slimming down and asked a friend out last night. It's only taken me 14 years to ask her... 😂

The long version is when I was 19, my gf and her family lived on a university campus as her dad was a halls porter. He said to us a new girl had just moved in and to introduce ourselves if we saw her as we'd get on with her (we were all cybergoths - and the weren't any others on campus). I noticed her in our local metal club that weekend and went over to introduce ourselves. Me and her have been really close friends ever since; my gf got mad jealous of how close we were and she helped me through my inevitable breakup, as did I with hers. Supported her as much as I could, did DIY and odd jobs that she couldn't do but she couldn't afford to stay in the city and moved back to the next town, around 45 miles away, around 5 years ago. I saw a lot less of her since but still got together for birthdays and special occasions. We both broke up with our partners in varying horrific fashions a few months back and have been seeing a lot of each other since and being supportive. I drove her to the airport so she could get away for a week, then patiently waited at the gate for her to meet her off the plane when she returned. I attribute my 57lb loss this ye she's itodifferent outings around the country, make dinner together and chill out. I've always had a soft spot for her but I've never acted as anything but a friend despite being crazy about her.

I attribute my 57lb loss this year primarily to her because she's in tremendous shape and made me committed to my health. We hike together, go to the gym together, do yoga together, planning 100 different outings around the country, make dinner together and chill out. I've always had a soft spot for her but I've never acted as anything but a friend despite being crazy about her. Last night after yoga, things seemed particularly charged as we had a chai on her sofa, it felt like something was going to happen but it felt like we were both anticipating the other to do something and just froze. When I left, I just sat in my car for 5 minutes just thinking, got out, and told her I wanted to take her out for dinner after our Saturday class, but properly this time. She froze for a second, which felt like an eternity as I'm terrified of ruining everything, but she accepted.
