Day 150 - I slipped out of town for a long weekend and did not log a thing on here. Yes, I drank some beer, but under control. I had a good time and relaxed but was veery active in walking and kept moving, there is nothing like being able to break into a nice run/jog when you want to get somewhere.

So I started logging everything again today. During my workout I was able to run my whole 5K on the treadmill. Ran it just under 28 mins. I want to do a few more weeks on the treadmill and then move to more inclines on the treadmill and maybe start my 'live' road training. It figures it starts to get really hot here this week. One problem I am having is I really don't like to carry anything while running. I also have not found a good way to carry/wear my ipod while running, I hate the cord to my earbuds..... I am thinking of getting a cheap tiny MP3 player just for running and build my running playlist.

Speaking of playlists for running, has anyone used the app that tracks what songs you run better to? If so, what do you think?

Another thing to note is, last summer I would sweat any time I moved, so far this year I feel like I sweat a lot less at the lower weight. But, it has not been nearly as hot as last summer, so I don't know......

GREAT job on the control and the 5k. Another runner in our midst. What kind of iPod do you have? I have a nano, 6th generation, which is like 1.5 inch square (approx)' which I wear in a watchband (from Apple). If I didn't have that, I would wear it on an armband. And sports headphones can't be beat. I wear the kind around the back of my head. Hit Rpalmst, Erika2633, JessWhatNeed, BKeller1023, DairyKing up for playlist apps. Actually there are so many runners on FS, you should do a forum post. I'll bet you get great ideas.

Awesome job on the 5K, that's a great time!! Keep up the good work. I just got an ipod nano, that clips to my shirt, shorts, whatever and love the convenience of it. I also got a set of "running" headphones, that wrap around your ear and then the earbud tucks inside. LOVE them. Before that I was struggling with headphones. Hubby bought them but I think they were a bit pricey - well worth it in my opinion.

And yeah, went on jogfm for some song ideas - I already had a TON of those on the list on my playlist so I guess I was doing something right lol

I tend to feed the cord under my shirt and clip the ipod to my shorts. I hate having the cord flopping all over the place and I ALWAYS end up catching my hand on it and ripping the earbuds out-so this eliminates that problem...however the cord gets covered in sweat. My IPOD has an app that if you feel the song being played is a "power boost" song and gets you pumped you can hit a button and it saves it as such for future runs. I suppose it plays those power boost songs when it calculates that you are slowing down and need a boost.
