OH's operation went well and I visited last night. He was a bit upset that they won't let him home until at least Saturday. They are keeping him in to do the liver biopsy as he's already there. He has a catheter fitted and the biggest bags of saline drip to flusheverything out that I've ever seen. The journey home last night was a bit hairy - pouring with rain, pitch black as there are no street lights, huge puddles all over the roads and blinded by inconsiderate drivers who don't dip their headlights when approaching you in the opposite direction. I'm going in this afternoon today!
I'm going to use the trip to do abit of shopping and have a look round the shops. Its nice to have some time to myself and just browse.
Weather today is no better than yesterday and the forecast is for more heavy rain and snow. Its really dark and I need the lights on and the only bright spot is the daffodils I rescued have opened and make a beautiful bright yellow splash.

I'm so glad OH's operation went well! And that's sensible to keep him for the biopsy. Isn't it amazing how Spring flowers have some kind of power to lift us up when we're down? Something about the miracle of renewal/rebirth after a long, hard Winter. Have a wonderful day, buddy. I'm keeping you and your OH in my thoughts and prayers!

I love the daffodils this time of year. It feels like hope from under a dark cloud. Glad you have some to brighten your days and very pleased you will take some time for youraels while in town. Hospital visits are always so emotionally draining.

Hi Flax, long time not writing. Am glad OH's operation went well. I am reading all about your weather. If you don't mind, where is it you live? I'm in South Florida and we just got past a ton of rain. Now our weather is picking up and closer to normal for us this time of year. Can't wait. I like warm sunny weather. Good news about OH's operation!! We've had a bit of nasty weather ourselves so as usual, I can relate!! Enjoy your time looking around the shops ... OH will soon be home again!!
