Hi,

I went this morning and had a metabolic test done to see how many calories I burn just sitting on my butt - 1238!!! I am being told this is on the "slow" side. Well you know what that means - I have to exercise more and eat less - which isn't a surprise to me. I guess I needed to see it in writing. I hate admitting that I have failed but you know I really haven't - I can say I failed at keeping this weight off when I'm but a bowl of ashes - until then I'll say I've taken a break and now need to get back to work:) -

Where do they do metabolic tests? I would love to know how much I burn doing nothing too. I think it would make it easier trying to get the right balance to keep losing.

I know exactly what you mean. My New Leaf test that I did at the YMCA said 1320 calories. You can't eat less than 1200 calories a day (or you'll DIE). My stomach feels the best when I eat 2000 calories a day :). Adjusting my diet to be about 1300-1400 a day plus exercise is tough. Luckily, I like to exercise but I really, really need to watch what I eat.
