Here we are on day 12 of the SB diet, and holding strong! I am doing really great at sticking to the rules of no carbs. I haven't cheated one tiny bit (except for the PB). I do have some good news to bring to the table today: I went one whole day of NO PB OR nuts! I packed it all away inside a very large garbage bag (because that's how much I had!) and I told my hubby to hide it from me. You ever notice how men don't really take our complaints seriously? the first thing he did (I kid you not!) was say, "Sure, honey! I understand that you want me to support you on this. I'll hide it really good!" And, then he proceeded to walk over to an antique cabinet sitting over there in the corner, and right in front of me, opened the latch and stuffed the whole bag inside! You should have seen my face! I sort of blankly stared at the cabinet and twisted my lips wryly. Then he laughed like a madman and walked over to the couch and pounced on it, instantly absorbed into his program again! Uuuuughhhhh!!!!
OK...so as I was saying, day 1 away from that stuff, and I hope that as long as I don't see it in the pantry, staring at me every time I open the door, I'll be fine. I'll will be fine, right?

Today's plans are this:
breakfast: egg substitute with veggie stir fry (1 cup)
no snack, bottled water
Lunch: 1 cup tossed salad with 2 oz chicken breast, spritzer dressing, iced tea with sweetner
snack: 1/4 Cup 1% cottage cheese with 1 celery stick
dinner: 2 oz steak, 1 C veggie, 1 cup tossed salad
snack: 1/2 cup s/f jello with s/f whip cream
Calorie total: 495

EXERCISE:
I have 1 1/2 hours of workout to do at 11:45 today and then I have bowling practice and then league tonight from 6:30 to 10pm.

OH, I don't know if you all saw what I said yesterday about weigh-in...so I'll repeat myself: I mentioned to my hubby that I am extending my weigh-in for one more week, and he said NO WAY, put up the numbers on Wednesday or die! Well! I guess I don't want to die...so for those of you who are waiting anxiously, stay tuned for Wednesday! LOL
hugs to you all!! as you can see, I couldn't do this without you! My hubby is pointless!

not very many calories...hope your body doesnt go in starvation mode...

I LOVE peanut butter and nuts! I never ate peanut butter before SB because of the fat and calories, but now I have the green light and I don't overdo it, but it's heaven just to have that little bit! And, yeah, 495 calories is not enough for a day.....Be Careful.

sounds like your doing great! you might want to add a little more to your lean meat portions.. for supper I would suggest 4 oz.. don't you think?! Can't wait to see your results! I guess if its not broken, don't fix it, eh?!!

Eating fewer than 1000 cals per day can slow your metabolism. Be careful, please.

remember ya'll, I really dislike meat. All kinds of meat! eating 2 oz. is both a miracle and a blessing! it really grosses me out! the low calories is what you get when you eat nothing but veggies all day long! I don't even like cheese, never have! I'm tellin' ya! I should be a skinny minny...but NO!

you're reminding me of Susan Power (remember her?) she was a vegetarian that lost over 100 pounds. I liked her and bought her book. She said she got fat eating wholesome breads, muffins and cakes! She said people think vegans should all be skinny. I suppose you know how to fit your protein into your diet. I know beans and soy products are good. You're doing great.

This diet is not about meat badandee; I see from your diary above that you eat cottage cheese, chicken breast, & egg substitutes. In order to increase your calories eat more amounts of protein, and that will do it! What about tunafish, or cheese hidden in an omlet: are you OK with fish? Soooooo cut back on the veggies and eat some more of the proteins you like. The hidden cheese will give you the fat we need, or some canadian bacon in your eggs. All in all is sounds like you are doing quite well.

Looks like you're coming along nicely! Great job on no pb or nuts! It's hard when we have the strong cravings and can't let them go. Keep up the great work!

Ill see ya Wed.! I at low cals these days too but I SWEAR I eat more volume than I used to, Im mostly veggie these days too. I bet youre at your goal or past it by now!

why cut back on veggiees susieq? In the book it says most fibrous vegetables are virtually unlimited.
