Cheers to all you guys, it certainly helps knowing that others are reading and supporting you. (Also keeping you on-track)
You guys are right, I will go out and enjoy the meal, I just won't go mad.
You can't put your whole life on hold for 2 years whilst you try to obtain an 'ideal' weight.

There will be ups and downs and occasions where sticking to a regime is not always possible.
The key is to generally improve our eating habits and way of life.

For me staying away from alcohol too, not because I have an 'actual' problem with it, but because I know it's the thing that had given me a spare lorry tire to wear!

whilst I've been somewhat bad today, generally I'm sticking to my plan of staying out of McDonalds, away from booze, out of the path of the sweetie tin and avoiding takeaways.

I'm like a diet ninja me. (Only a bit fatter)

So, thanking into consideration that you've now got Thursday and some of Friday to make some sensible choices, this is your first challenge to implement the 'rule' of be ware of what you eat before and after, and if possible just move around a bit more in between. Every day can not be a treat day, but once or twice now and again is allowed!

Sounds like a plan, matey! Make sure you stick to it and celebrate when it works, making adjustments when it doesn't. Have fun! 🤗

Sounds like a good plan to me. Try and put in estimates for everything you've eaten or drunk while off-plan though. It's very educational, and helps you learn to make good choices in the future. You have to get to know which of the 'naughty' foods are worth it!

Heidi is so right. Is the "cheat" actually worth it? That's what you have to decide. All the best!

Same here on alcohol. It messed with my blood sugar in unpredictable ways, and sometimes acted as gateway to carbs indulgence then seemingly inescapable cravings. A glass of wine is lovely on its own, but increasingly led to cheese boards with nuts and dried fruit, and oh look who's in misery again?
