Birthday cake yesterday? That happened. Three times. And you know what? It was worth it. I am meeting one of my late Aunt Rita's friends for sushi tonight. As long as I stay away from the cream cheese I will be ok...right?

Oh, here is something else fun that I learned...TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM! hip hop abs? tried it! 30 day shred? I have it for the month of April. Windsor Pilates? check. All of that for free! You have to turn it in after 30 days...but 30 days is the perfect time not to get bored!

You know something? Denying things only makes them resurface in strange and frightening ways. I think it's great that you had the cake. You knew it was off the diet and made the conscious choice to eat what you wanted. Denying cravings often leads to BIG wagon falloffs. But now, you've had your cake and eaten it too. Time to get back on track! I love sushi as well. Unfortunately, at a chemical level, the rice in that sushi has almost as much sugar as the cake. Esp. if its white rice. Consider shashimi and the myriad of other awesome things most sushi restaurants have to offer. Wakame (marinated seaweed= SUPERFOOD.) and Sunomono (cucumber & assorted fish in soy/vinegar) are fantastic. Pair either with some shashimi and tea and you have a low calorie, high protein, high fiber meal! And thanks for that idea about the library! I know where I'm going this afternoon!
