Just got back from the third Christmas party, thank goodness! I do beleive I passed the test of temptatations with flying colors, if I do say so myself! I made a caramel peanut butter layered pudding pie, made with chocolate and vanilla pudding, cream cheese, half and half, and cool whip. Didn't touch a crumb!! Looked divine though. Everyone loved it, there was only two peices left. I ate dinner before we went so I wasn't too hungry. For some reason I have a tendency to want to munch at get-togethers, so I eventually got a plate of veggies , and I got out Rhonda's measuring spoon and measured exactly 2 tbs of dip. Nutrition facts were on the side, so I knew what I was doing. Man it would be so easy to overdo it on that dip! Talk about sneaky calories! I drank tons and tons of diet soda. When I got home I had a low carb ice cream bar. I think I did well today! I hope I can do as well tommorrow at the LAST Christmas party. Dang there is too many!!! This family is nuts. I am going to go with the same strategy, eat RIGHT before the party, and stay away from the desserts!! I can always have an allowed sweet when I get home if I still want it. I think I am going to have some cookies on Christmas though. It shouldn't hurt me too much, I just can't have a whole lot.
