SLLockhart's Journal, 07 Aug 17

After weighing in yesterday, I decided to only weigh-in only once a week.
That way I won't get discouraged, and just chuck it all and eat junk.
I am down a few pounds in a month, since being here, so I will continue to post, and maybe even record my foods again.
I do know that not eating any sugar for a month has made a great difference in my cravings. I don't crave many foods now, and when I do, I eat loads of protein and the cravings go away.
I have learned that eating a Keto diet is my friend and it keeps me going and going and going. I am happy with the changes in my body since eating keto and it isn't a diet, it is a Way of Eating for me now. Even Hubby is eating Keto too, even if he doesn't know it. lol I will be angry when he loses more than I do, for sure. But hey, he does need to keep it down too, and his blood work says he needs to eat less carbs and he isn't eat nearly as much bread and junk as he used to. Maybe I am leading by example. Hope so.

SLLockhart, I've found the FS food logging to be very helpful in keeping me more disciplined, focused, realistic, and honest. My doctor has a log sheet, but there isn't enough room to list the amount of each food, let alone get instant feedback about nutritional values. My husband and I made the decision to do this together have been on the same page since July 1st. It's made a big difference.

One night, after a long day of meetings at our shooting club, where he's vice president, he came home with a KitKat Bar. He'd blown his diet for the day and thought I'd be "angry" if he "didn't share." I said, "Get that thing away from me ... but thank you!" He said he'd "hide it somewhere," but I'd be surprised if it survived by morning! LOL!
